The Institute of Transportation CIP Ltd, Belgrade is a company registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency mainly for works within the activity under code 7112 - Engineering services and technical consulting.


Wide activity of the Institute of Transportation CIP Ltd is very diverse and includes:

 

·              Preparation of studies, technical and investment documentation;

·              Preparation of planning and town development documentation;

·              Technical verification of design documentation;

·              Preparation of documentation related to road traffic safety;

·              Preparation of documentation related to environmental protection;

·              Energy efficiency and fire protection;

·              Geodetic surveying and geological investigation works;

·              Testing of structures;

·              Laboratory tests in the field of environmental protection;

·              Technical supervision of works;

·              Engineering and consulting services;

·              Technical inspection of the facility.

 

Designs of railway and road infrastructure, urban traffic systems, buildings, sports and special-purpose facilities are the constant activities that prove high-quality performance and short times of completion on the part of CIP. The above-mentioned activities are performed in 13 organizational units (two Offices and eleven Departments) in accordance with the relevant System management documents, the Law on Planning and Construction, other reference laws and by-laws and general documents of the Institute of Transportation CIP Ltd.

 

Organizational units of the Institute of Transportation CIP Ltd 

·              Office for Human Resources, Legal and General Affairs deals with human resource and general affairs, translation services, market research and permanent contacts with current and potential foreign Clients

·              Office for Economic and Accounting Affairs performs financial and accounting tasks.

·              Department of Architecture and Urban Planning deals with preparation of technical documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of buildings and with preparation of planning and urban development documentation.

·              Department of Roads and Railways deals with preparation of studies, planning and technical documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of civil engineering structures. The Department consists of the Group for Roads that deals with preparation of documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, airports, heliports, streets, squares and parking areas, and the Group for Rail Systems that deals with preparation of documentation for construction of new infrastructure and reconstruction, modernization and maintenance of the existing infrastructure for rail systems, which include: railway network (railway lines, stations, junctions, terminals), private sidings, metro and tramway networks.

·              Department of Geodesy deals with survey of land and facilities, preparation of survey maps, geodetic work designs and reports, design and establishment of geodetic networks and preparation of geodetic network reports, land acquisition designs, setting out designs as a part of reparcelling designs, designs for geodetic auscultation of buildings and ground behavior, and specific tasks.

·              Department of Structural Engineering generally deals with preparation of technical documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of bridges, overpasses, underpasses, footbridges, crane tracks and structures of special importance in both civil engineering and building construction. The Department consists of the Group for Steel that deals with steel and composite structures, the Group for Concrete that deals with reinforced concrete and masonry structures, the Group for Tunnels and Special Structures that performs assignments related to tunnels and other special engineering structures and rehabilitation of landslides, and the Group for Structural Testing that deals with static and dynamic tests of completed facilities.

·              Department of Mechanical Engineering deals with preparation of technical documentation related to railway mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, process and gas engineering and industrial engineering.

·              Department of Electrical Engineering deals with preparation of technical documentation, measurements and test certificates, expertise and studies for electric traction fixed installations, electric power systems, plants and installations, road and railway signaling and interlocking systems and devices, telecommunication systems, networks and installations. The Department consists of the Group for Signaling and Interlocking Systems that performs assignments related to signaling and interlocking systems and the Group for Telecommunications that performs assignments related to telecommunication and signaling systems.

·              Department of Hydraulic Engineering deals with preparation of technical documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of hydraulic structures and infrastructure for water supply to towns, settlements and buildings, channeling of rain, foul and industrial waters, regulation of watercourses, treatment of drinking and waste waters.

·              Department of Geotechnical Engineering deals with soil investigations, execution of geological investigation works and preparation of geological documentation for construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of facilities.

·              Department of Engineering Services deals with supervision of construction works, technical inspection of facilities and with engineering and consulting services.

·              Department of Transport Economics and Technology deals with the following traffic-related assignments: research and development, preparation of studies and designs and multidisciplinary environmental, consulting and other expertise.

·              Department of Laboratory Testing and Environmental Protection deals with laboratory tests (measurements of environmental noise) and preparation of studies and technical documentation related to environmental protection (strategic environmental impact assessment, environmental impact assessment study, noise calculations and mapping, noise map, action plan for environmental noise suppression, acoustic planning, waste management plans, technical documentation for construction of regional landfills, waste storage and treatment facilities, waste water treatment plants and other technical measures for environmental protection).

 

The registered office of the Institute of Transportation CIP Ltd is in 6/IV, Nemanjina Street, Belgrade. CIP also has premises in 8, Nikole Pašića Square for the Department of Laboratory Testing and Environmental Protection; in 4a, Grčića Milenka Street for the Department of Engineering Services, and in No Number, Matrozova Street, Batajnica, where the storage facility is accommodated.
